Tottenham are not happy about the idea of the Chelsea coach also working alongside Gareth Southgate.

A report in the Daily Mail has suggested that Tottenham Hotspur are the only Premier League side that have voiced their concerns about the idea of Steve Holland adding to his role with Chelsea by becoming Gareth Southgate’s assistant for England.
The Mail reports that Spurs are not happy about the idea of Holland having fitness and injury information about the players that could be in contention to be selected for the Three Lions.
That is because Tottenham feel that kind of knowledge will give the Blues an unfair advantage over the rest of the division, according to the Mail.
In fairness to Spurs, Mauricio Pochettino has included several English players within the core of his team so they would perhaps suffer the most if Holland was appointed and was, as they fear, able to use that information to benefit Antonio Conte’s side.

The likes of Kyle Walker, Danny Rose, Eric Dier, Dele Alli and Harry Kane have not only been key men at White Hart Lane, but have arguably become central figures for the national team.
The reported rift adds another sub-plot to this weekend’s meeting between the two clubs. Last season’s clash at Stamford Bridge highlighted just how fiery the fixture can be, and it would hardly be a surprise if it boils over once again given that Chelsea will be looking to end Tottenham’s unbeaten start, while Spurs will be hoping to leave the door open for another team to knock the Blues off the table’s summit.
