According to the Daily Mail, Fulham striker Ross McCormack is keen on a move to Newcastle United – because he thinks they represent a great way for him to play in the Premier League.
McCormack, 29, had spells with Rangers, Doncaster, Motherwell, Cardiff City and Leeds United before completing a big-money move to Fulham in the summer of 2014 – and he’s proven his worth at Craven Cottage.

The Scotland international has smashed 42 goals in 100 games for Fulham, including 23 this past season, to become one of the Championship’s top strikers.
Now though, having survived a relegation battle with Fulham, McCormack appears to be setting his sights a little higher, and he could be on his way to Tyneside this summer.

The Daily Mail report that Newcastle, who have just been relegated from the Premier League, are set to increase their interest in signing the Scot in the coming weeks, with Rafael Benitez keen to add some proven Championship talent to his Magpies squad.
It’s claimed that McCormack wants to play in the Premier League, and he feels that a move to Newcastle will offer a better chance of that than staying at Fulham.

Newcastle will have to splash the cash to land McCormack, and at almost 30, it would be something of a surprise from the Magpies, who have focused on youth in the last few transfer windows – but landing a proven Championship goalscorer could go a long way to winning promotion next season.
