Celtic are reportedly interested in departing Everton defender Phil Jagielka.

The Scottish Sun has claimed of Celtic’s interest in Jagielka following the 36-year-old central defender’s departure from Everton.
The Englishman is leaving the Premier League club this summer and is available on a free transfer.
Football Scotland has posted a picture of Jagielka with former SFA and Rangers executive Gordon Smith in Glasgow, but the publication claims that defender is Scotland to visit friends and is not in the country for any transfer-related business.

Good signing for Celtic?
Jagielka is past his time and is now 36 years of age, but the Englishman can still do a good job in Scotland for a year.
With the departure of Dedryck Boyata and the return of Filip Benkovic to his parent club Leicester City following a loan spell at Celtic Park this past season, Celtic could with an experienced defender such as Jagielka.
The Hoops have won the domestic treble in Scotland for the past three seasons.
