Ekuban could leave Leeds United to join Trabzonspor on a permanent basis.

A report by TurkishFootball.com has explained why Leeds United’s Caleb Ekuban is struggling for game time at loan club Trabzonspor.
Ekuban left Leeds to join the Super Lig side on loan in August and marked his debut by scoring in the 4-0 win against Galatasaray the following month.
But the 24-year-old has played just 24 of a possible 270 minutes since then, leaving the Whites’ hopes of a £1.1 million permanent transfer – for which Trabzonspor are said to have an option to exercise – in doubt.
A source close to Ekuban’s temporary employers is reported to have told TurkishFootball.com, however: “(T)he manager and coaching staff are happy with Ekuban but he needs time to settle.
“The player is reportedly in high spirits and has bonded well with his new teammates.
“The club are confident the Ghana international’s time will come as the season progresses.”
And the website also stated: “Part of the problem is that Hugo Rodallega (the former Wigan Athletic and Fulham striker) and Burak Yilmaz have been in good form.”

A £500,000 signing from Chievo Verona in 2017, Ekuban failed to replicate his previously prolific form at Leeds, for whom he scored just two goals in 21 appearances last season.
And the Ghanaian’s hopes of breaking into Marcelo Bielsa’s side, should he return to Elland Road, appear slim given the form of Kemar Roofe and Tyler Roberts this season – not to mention the presence of Patrick Bamford.
