Leeds United ace Eunan O’Kane reportedly has a groin injury.
According to the Irish Sun, Leeds United midfielder Eunan O’Kane missed training with the Irish national team this morning due to a groin injury.
O’Kane, 26, left Bournemouth on deadline day in August to join Leeds United, and the goal for the midfielder was clear; to establish himself as a regular in Martin O’Neill’s Republic of Ireland squad having missed out on a spot in the Euro 2016 squad.

So far, O’Kane has been a regular for Leeds under Garry Monk, and his performances meant that he was called up by O’Neill for Saturday’s game against Austria – but he could yet miss the game.
The Irish Sun report that O’Kane missed training this morning, as he is dealing with a groin injury, which means his position for the Austria game is left in some doubt.

Leeds have had enough injury problems from international duty, as Stuart Dallas has been out with a calf injury since the last international break, and has been forced to pull out of the Northern Ireland squad as a result.
Now, manager Garry Monk will be hoping that O’Kane returns to Elland Road unscathed, and is given time to recover, given that Ireland boss Martin O’Neill has been in a row with Everton manager Ronald Koeman over their overworking of James McCarthy.

The report adds that James McClean also missed training due to a back problem, whilst Sunderland’s John O’Shea arrived late having been undergoing treatment for a hamstring injury.
With McCarthy and Burnley’s Stephen Ward already out through injury, O’Neill has a number of injury problems to deal with right now – and Leeds will be praying that O’Kane’s injury isn’t serious.
