West Ham United are reportedly set to miss out on Le Havre defender Harold Moukoudi.

According to French radio station France Bleu, West Ham United are set to miss out on Le Havre defender Harold Moukoudi as he wants to stay in France.
The Hammers have brought in eight summer signings in what has been a productive opening to Manuel Pellegrini’s stint as West Ham manager.
Lukasz Fabianski, Ryan Fredericks, Issa Diop, Fabian Balbuena, Jack Wilshere, Felipe Anderson, Andriy Yarmolenko and Xande Silva have all arrived, but more additions are wanted.
Another centre back appears to be on Pellegrini’s radar even after signing both Diop and Balbuena, with Le Havre defender Harold Moukoudi a major target for the Hammers having shown promise in France.
However, French radio station France Bleu now report that West Ham are set to miss out on Moukoudi, as he has decided that he doesn’t want a move to the London Stadium, instead preferring to stay in France with a Ligue 1 team.
Four clubs – Lyon, Marseille, Nice and Rennes – are thought to be keen on Moukoudi, and he wants to prioritise playing time over money or simply signing for a ‘big’ club.

The 20-year-old defender, who stands at 6ft 3in tall, has become a key player for Le Havre having joined the club in 2012, and the French Under-20 international may be making a smart career move by ensuring he plays regularly.
That seemingly leaves West Ham to look for other defenders before Thursday if true, and would be a real blow to Pellegrini.
