David Turnbull won’t be playing Premier League football for Norwich City with a £3.25m move to Scottish Premiership champions Celtic reportedly happening.

One of the strangest transfer sagas of the summer is nearing its conclusion.
David Turnbull was expected to be snapped in the yellow and green of Norwich City today but, in a bizarre twist, it seems that the long-term Celtic target is set for a move to Parkhead after all.
According to the Glasgow Evening Times, Turnbull initially rejected a move to the Scottish Premiership champions after they failed to agree personal terms and looked all-but certain to be unveiled as Norwich’s second summer signing instead.
Celtic didn’t give up, however, and Neil Lennon’s side now appear to have ironed out their difficulties with Turnbull set to undergo a medical today ahead of a £3.25 million move from Motherwell.
But why did the 19-year-old perform a sudden U-turn and decide to choose Celtic over Norwich? Well, it is all to do with his development.

According to The Express, Turnbull could have earned more money at Carrow Road but he wants to play regular first-team football at a crucial time in his career – and he feels that he’d be more likely to get that at Celtic.
With 16 goals to his name from midfield last season, there is certainly a place for him in Lennon’s starting XI, probably behind a centre-forward like Odsonne Edouard.
