According to The Birmingham Mail, Albert Adomah’s move from Aston Villa to Championship rivals Middlesbrough in the summer transfer window broke down due to terms of the deal.

It has been reported that Adomah wanted to sign a loan deal with his former club Middlesbrough with a view to a permanent move.

However, according to the report, Tony Pulis’s Boro were willing to re-sign the 30-year-old Ghana international winger only on a temporary basis.

Staying at Aston Villa

Adomah would have been a good signing for Middlesbrough, and the winger himself would have got more playing time at the Riverside Stadium.

However, the 30-year-old can still play an important role for Steve Bruce’s Villans this campaign just as he did last season.

The former Bristol City winger – who earns £25,000 per week as salary, according to The Daily Star – scored 14 goals and provided five assists in 37 Championship starts for Villa during the 2017-18 campaign, according to WhoScored.
