West Bromwich Albion target Kiril Despodov won’t be allowed to move to the Hawthorns on a free transfer with Centro Trentuno reporting a request to have his Cagliari contract terminated has been rejected.
With a lack of consistent goal threat holding the Baggies back this season, the arrival of a speedy winger with the ability to make things happen in the final third would be welcomed with open arms in West Bromwich.
Better late than never, we suppose.
Earlier this month, The Telegraph reported West Brom were keen to bring in Bulgaria international Despodov when the summer window opens.
There were hopes Despodov, because of a disagreement with his Cagliari bosses, would be allowed to leave the Serie A outfit for nothing.
The Ludogorets loanee had allegedly requested the termination of his contract, as reported by Centro Trentuno.
That request has now been denied, however.

If West Brom want to add Despodov to their squad they will have to pay a fee for a man who became the most expensive export in the history of Bulgaria’s top flight when he moved to Sardinia for about £4 million two years ago.
Despodov played a key role as Ludogorets won the Bulgarian league title this season, producing six goals and 13 assists during his time on loan at the Razgrad-based outfit.
