Aston Villa are reportedly trying to sign the out-of-favour West Ham United player on loan.

A report in Wednesday’s printed edition of The Daily Mirror (page 46) has explained what is holding up Robert Snodgrass’ move from West Ham United to Aston Villa.
But according to The Daily Mirror, the Hammers are yet to be bowled over, with a ‘row over wages’ threatening to scupper the Scotland international’s temporary transfer.

Aston Villa spent the most money on transfers of any Championship club last season – only to finish 13th in the standings.
And while the Villans have been restricted to mostly loan deals and free transfers this summer, the likes of John Terry, Glenn Whelan and Ahmed Elmohamady are unlikely to have come cheap in terms of their salaries – having been Premier League players last season.
