Arsenal attacker Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is reportedly wanted by Liverpool in the summer transfer window.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is a very talented young player who can only get better. The 23-year-old Arsenal man is a promising and versatile footballer who can operate as a winger or as a central midfielder.

Oxlade-Chamberlain is not guaranteed a place in the Arsenal starting lineup, but when the England international has featured, he has done quite well.

Given the talent and quality of the Englishman, one suspects that the Gunners will want to keep hold of him for a few more years.

The former Southampton man, though, seems to have other ideas. According to The Times, Oxlade-Chamberlain is ready to wait and leave Arsenal on a fee transfer next summer when his contract runs out.

The youngster has reportedly rejected a new contract offer from the Gunners, with Liverpool claimed to be interested in him. The Times has reported that the Reds were turned down when they made a direct approach to the North London outfit for Oxlade-Chamberlain.

“Oxlade-Chamberlain is attracted by the idea of playing for Jurgen Klopp, given Klopp’s record with developing the attacking gifts of players such as Adam Lallana, Gini Wijnaldum and Sadio Mane,” adds the report in The Times.

It seems that Oxlade-Chamberlain, who is valued at £25 million by Arsenal according to The Times, is open to the idea of playing for Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp. Perhaps the Englishman could feature for the Reds during the 2018-19 campaign.
