Arsenal and Manchester United have both signed prolific strikers in the past week, adding Alexandre Lacazette and Romelu Lukaku.
The Gunners smashed their transfer record to sign Lacazette from Lyon, but it could have been very different if Manchester United been keen to sign him.
While Mourinho was impressed by his goalscoring record, The Guardian report he was left unconvinced by whether Lacazette had the physical qualities to dominate Premier League defences, and if he was a big game player.
Lacazette has ample opportunity to prove Mourinho wrong over the next few years, and there may not be much to choose between him at Romelu Lukaku at the end of the season.

Mourinho’s judgement on players has been infamously wrong before in the past, and it is only by a stroke of fortune and circumstance that he is getting a second chance to work with Romelu Lukaku after selling him at Chelsea.
He will hope the Lacazette decision does not come back to haunt him.
