Sunderland are reportedly hoping to raid League One rivals Barnsley for Moore while they also want Wigan Athletic’s Championship striker Will Grigg.

Sunderland have been priced out of a move for Barnsley striker Kieffer Moore, according to the Northern Echo.
The Black Cats are battling for a place in the two automatic promotion spots in League One with manager Jack Ross hoping to enhance his side’s hopes of a return to the Championship by signing a proven goalscorer.
Sunderland have made four bids for Wigan Athletic’s Will Grigg but Paul Cook’s side are standing firm, hoping to keep the Northern Ireland international at the DW Stadium.
As a result, the Wearsiders have identified Moore as a potential alternative with the 26-year-old having scored 15 League One goals this season for promotion rivals Barnsley.
The Torquay-born striker also found the net at a prolific rate in his last spell at third tier level, wearing the colours of Rotherham United in the first half of the 2017/18 campaign.

The Northern Echo, however, claims that Barnsley are demanding £4 million for their star man – a figure that puts him well out of Sunderland’s price range.
Perhaps this is why they are planning a fifth bid for Grigg before the window slams shut on Friday.
