According to The Daily Mail, Leeds United have decided not to sign Michael Cuisance from Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window.

It has been reported that Leeds had agreed an £18 million deal with Bayern over the transfer of the 21-year-old midfielder.

However, the youngster has failed a medical at Leeds, with tests raising concerns about a previous injury, according to the report.

The report has claimed that it would have taken ‘some time for Cuisance to recover and get up to the fitness required for Marcelo Bielsa’s standards’, adding that Leeds ‘believed they had unearthed a gem in the France U20 international playmaker’.

Sky Sports have also claimed that Cuisance’s proposed move to Leeds is off after he failed a medical.

Disappointment

From the report in The Daily Mail, it seems that Leeds really rate Cuisance and were keen on signing him this summer.

However, it is unfortunate that the 21-year-old failed a medical, and that the Premier League club have decided to walk away from the deal.

It will be interesting to see which player Leeds now target before the summer transfer window closes next week.

Leeds have made a good start to the Premier League season and are aiming for a successful campaign for their first year back in the top flight of English football since 2004.
