Tottenham midfielder is said to be disappointed at the criticism he is receiving.

The Spurs midfielder has not hit the heights of previous campaigns so far, with goals in wins over Real Madrid and Liverpool the exceptions.
Apart from these two games, he has been inconsistent, and was particularly off his game in Tottenham’s defeats to Arsenal and Manchester City, and he missed a close range effort against Manchester United which would have set the team up for a win.

Alli has been English football’s golden boy but the shine has worn off a little this season, and he is reportedly frustrated by the backlash.
The Times reports: “Those close to Alli in the Tottenham dressing room attest to the profound impact his perceived dip in form has had on a normally lively character, who has taken some of the criticism from the likes of Alan Shearer to heart.”

Alli has to learn how to bounce back from his slide in form, and the pressure obviously is not helping, but it is also an eye opener for a player whose rise to the top has been rapid so far in his young career.
The world of football is so knee-jerk nowadays that a run of good games between now and the new year will have everybody raving about the midfielder again, and Alli must use the criticism as fuel to encourage him to kick on and prove that he is as good as first advertised.
