According to the Liverpool Echo, Liverpool could inadvertently end up helping Everton secure a deal for Lamine Kone by sanctioning a loan exit for Mamadou Sakho.
The Black Cats are currently on the hunt for recruits before the end of the end of the transfer window tomorrow.
One man they are targeting is Reds defender Sakho, who looks set to leave Anfield on loan after falling down the pecking order at the club.

And according to the Liverpool Echo, should he agree to a move to the Stadium of Light that could free up Kone to complete a move to Merseyside.
The newspaper reports that the Blues remain interested in the centre back and are willing to up their bid to £20 million after seeing an £18 million bid rejected earlier this summer.

However, manager David Moyes is refusing to allow Kone to leave until he has found an adequate replacement for him.
Should they therefore manage to secure Sakho on deadline day that could free up Kone to make the move to Goodison Park.
It remains to be seen if Moyes’ side is one that interests him though given he has already rejected the chance to join Stoke City and West Brom.
