Leeds United have seen a bid for Polish winger Kamil Jozwiak rejected by Lech Poznan – but now his father has waded into the issue.

Leeds United appear to have opened up a can of worms with their £180,000 bid for Lech Poznan winger Kamil Jozwiak.
Sport.pl quote the Ekstraklasa side’s president as confirming that The Whites had made an offer for the 19-year-old. Despite Jozwiak’s contract expiring at the end of the season, however, Poznan have no desire to sell their prized asset midway through the season.
Poznan have been playing hardball with the Polish Under-19 star for some time. Manager Nenad Bjelic told Sport Internia earlier in the season that Jozwiak would not feature regularly for the first team unless he committed his future to the club.

Thus, the versatile attacker has featured just three times in the Polish top flight all season.
But with conflict seemingly brewing between Jozwiak’s camp and the Poznan chiefs, the teenager’s father appears to have weighed into the debate.
Polish publication Polsat reports that Jozwiak’s father has confirmed that the youngster wants to play for Leeds – and it appears Jozwiak Sr would be only too happy for his son to make the move to Elland Road.

Whether Leeds get their man in the New Year, however, remains to be seen.
Jozwiak would join compatriot Mateusz Klich at Elland Road, while Pawel Cibicki, the Swedish striker with Polish parents, also earned a transfer to Leeds this summer.
Director of football Victor Orta has come under fire from some supporters for his latest transfer target however, with Leeds fans wanting players with Championship experience to turn around the current slump in form.
