Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly still hopeful of bringing AC Milan striker Andre Silva to the Premier League despite his poor form at Sevilla.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have discussed a deal to finally bring Andre Silva to Molineux this summer but the Portuguese international doesn’t appear to share their enthusiasm, as reported by Calciomercato.
Silva has been heavily linked with a big-money switch to the Black County over the last 14 months with The Sun (29 May, page 50) reporting that they were making a £27 million bid for the AC Milan frontman.
Instead, Silva joined Sevilla on loan from Milan last summer but, after a bright start to life in Spain, he has fallen down the pecking order. The former Porto wonderkid has scored just 11 goals for the La Liga outfit and has only found the net once since December.
As a result, Calciomercato believes that Sevilla will turn down the chance to sign Silva on a permanent basis this summer. Though his erratic form has not put off Wolves, who famously have close ties with the 23-year-old’s agent Jorge Mendes.

The report claims Wolves have ‘spoken insistently’ about a deal for Silva but the player himself is not convinced that Molinuex is the best destination for him to rebuild his reputation.
Instead, Silva would rather join a club like Monaco, who he feels are more suited to his ambitions. Considering that Wolves are seventh in the Premier League and quickly becoming one of England’s most exciting clubs, Silva’s stance seems a little strange.
The striker joined Milan for £33.6 million in 2017 (Sky).
