Leeds United winger Raphinha has personally told head coach Jesse Marsch that he wants to leave amid interest from Barcelona, according to Sport.

Sport have reported that when Raphinha arrived for pre-season training at Leeds last week, he had a frank conversation with Marsch in which he made it clear that he wants to leave and join Barcelona in the summer transfer window.

The report has claimed that Barcelona are now on the verge of signing the Brazil international winger, described as “an exciting player” and “special” by Leeds Director of Football Victor Orta on COPE’s Great Match show this month.

Raphinha will leave Leeds United a star

In our view, Raphinha will leave Leeds United a star, and we think that the Elland Road faithful should wish him the best of luck.

The winger has brilliant for Leeds during his two years at the West Yorkshire club and has been a joy to watch.

Raphinha has scored 17 goals and created 22 big chances in 65 appearances in the Premier League for Leeds.

The winger hit the ground running in the Premier League and took to football in England like a duck to water.

Barcelona are a massive club and a global brand, and a move to Camp Nou from Leeds is a step-up for Raphinha.
