West Bromwich Albion star Matheus Pereira will consider his future amid interest from Aston Villa, according to The Daily Mail.

The Baggies have been relegated from the Premier League, and the report has claimed that Villa want to bring the Brazilian to Villa Park in the summer transfer window.

The Athletic reported last month that Villa are interested in signing the 25-year-old, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger.

Matheus Pereira to Aston Villa?

With West Brom having been relegated to the Championship, it is hard to see the Baggies keep hold of Pereira for next season.

The 25-year-old has been one of the better players for West Brom this campaign and has shown that he can succeed in the Premier League.

Described by former Villa striker Emile Heskey as “exciting” on HITC Sport this month, the Brazilian has made 28 starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Baggies this season, scoring 10 goals and providing five assists in the process, according to WhoScored.

Villa do have a good attacking unit, but there is always room for good players.

If Ross Barkley does not extend his loan spell from Chelsea, then Pereira could just take his place in the Villa squad.
