According to Sky Sports‘ Deadline Day Live Blog (15:12), Liverpool starlet Harvey Elliott has agreed to join Blackburn Rovers on loan.
Sky Sports’ update states that both the player and Liverpool hope a deal can be completed before today’s 5pm deadline.
Jurgen Klopp didn’t intend to loan out the 17-year-old in the window, but with the Reds already out of the Carabao Cup, Tony Mowbray presented the Premier League champions with an excellent case to take Elliott on loan.
The Blackburn boss has previously worked with the likes of James Maddison and ex-Liverpool winger Ryan Kent, so he has history of developing young prospects.
Elliott is a huge, huge talent, and one who Klopp loves.

The ex-Borussia Dortmund boss told Liverpool’s official website: ‘Harvey is such an exciting prospect. We all know his qualities – we have seen them this season in the first team and U23s.
‘I love his attitude – love his enthusiasm – love his bravery – love the fact he has the right amount of football confidence and cheekiness.’
Despite his young age, the teenager already comes with a sizeable price tag for his lack of experience.

According to The Times, Fulham are chasing a £7 million compensation package from Liverpool after they took Elliott from Craven Cottage last summer.
The prodigious talent rose through the ranks with the Cottagers, becoming the Premier League’s youngest ever player at just 16 years and 30 days when he was introduced against Wolves according to the BBC.
This will be the youngster’s first loan away from Liverpool, so it will be very interesting to see how he does.
