Leeds United are closing in on the appointment of Daniel Farke having agreed terms with the former Norwich City boss.

Daniel Farke could be in place as the new Leeds United manager next week as the Whites close in on an appointment.

That is according to the Daily Mail, who report that Farke is now on the brink of becoming the new Leeds boss.

It’s stated that Leeds have gone through a lengthy interview process for their next boss and have settled on Farke as their top candidate.

Farke has already agreed terms with Leeds and is thought to have visited the club’s Thorp Arch training ground.

The German is now expected to be in place as Leeds manager next week as they begin their pre-season training programme.

The report claims that Leeds have been in contact with Farke since the beginning of the month and are now close to a deal.

Scott Parker and Patrick Vieira were also thought to be on Leeds’ shortlist but it’s Farke who will seemingly take over from Sam Allardyce.

Leeds United desperately need stability amid Daniel Farke move

2023 has been a bonkers year when it comes to Leeds United and their managerial hot seat.

Jesse Marsch was given his marching orders in February but Leeds struggled to land their top targets.

That meant Michael Skubala took charge for three games before Javi Gracia’s arrival.

It all started so well under Gracia but quickly fell apart, meaning Leeds made yet another change by appointing Allardyce with four games to go.

Allardyce couldn’t keep Leeds in the top flight, meaning Leeds are yet again looking for a new boss.

Farke will become the fifth manager to take charge of a Leeds United game this year and the changes need to stop.

Leeds have to stick with Farke and give him time to get it right, especially having already won two promotions from the Championship with Norwich City.

The 46-year-old – hailed as ‘exceptional’ by Pep Guardiola – is available after leaving Borussia Monchengladbach and seems like the ideal fit for Leeds right now.

A busy window will be ahead for the Whites but they will hope to have finally found their long-term manager by landing Farke.
