According to the Liverpool Echo, Luis Diaz is working his socks off in a bid to be fit for Liverpool’s first game back after the World Cup.
Diaz injured his knee against Arsenal back in October and was sidelined for a long period of time.
However, Pipe Sierra gave a positive update on Diaz last week, and now, it seems as though he’d edging closer and closer to a return.
Rather than going on holiday during this World Cup break, Diaz has instead been at the AXA Training Ground most days working on his rehabilitation and putting in extra hours of gym work.

Diaz, of course, signed for Liverpool back in January, and he immediately established himself as one of the Reds’ most important players.
Diaz’s form hasn’t dipped at all this season, and the Reds have really missed him these past few weeks.
With extra gym work under his belt, Diaz could return even sharper, and given that a lack of strength was seen as a bit of a weakness of his, perhaps these sessions in Kirkby will help him bulk up a little bit more.
Liverpool haven’t had the best of starts to this season as they currently sit outside of the top four, but with a fit and firing Diaz soon to be back in contention, the Merseyside club’s fortunes could soon change.
The left winger is taking every necessary measure to make sure that he’s ready to hit the ground running after this injury setback and get Liverpool back on track.
