Turkish Football claim former Tottenham Hotspur director of football Damien Comolli wants to lure Spurs youngster Samuel Shashoua to Fenerbahce, after being appoint the club’s sporting director.

The report claims that following Ali Koc’s election win to become Fenerbahce’s president, former Spurs and Liverpool director Comolli will be appointed to oversee transfers at the SuperLig giants.

It is believed that Comolli is looking to raid his old side – 10 years after leaving Spurs following a three-year stint under chairman Daniel Levy – for 19-year-old winger Shashoua.

Fener are looking to change their approach to transfers, from signing players in the peak of their careers to landing the next upcoming talents across Europe. Shashoua is an example of just that.

Comolli has close ties with Spurs, as per the report, following his time in north London and Fener have conducted business with the north Londoners within the last year. Vincent Janssen joined the Turkish outfit on a season-long loan.

Spurs Samuel Shashoua looks to attack during the Premier League 2 match between Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur at Meadow Park on March 10, 2018 in Borehamwood, England.

Shashoua is highly-rated within Spurs academy, making 24 appearances in all competitions for the club’s second string last season – in which he scored three goals including strikes against Arsenal and Leicester’s Under-23 outfits.

He has a contract at Spurs until the summer of 2020, but with the England Under-18 international yet to make a senior appearance for Tottenham, the chance of breaking into the senior side at Fener could prove tantalising.
