Rangers fans will remember Umar Sadiq, though possibly not for very good reasons.
The Gers swooped to sign Sadiq on loan from Roma in 2018, landing him to offer some support for Alfredo Morelos and Kyle Lafferty in attack.
Sadiq had shown some potential in Italy, but was a complete flop with Rangers as he played just four games and failed to find the net even once.
Rangers sent Sadiq back to Roma within just a matter of months, and a move to Perugia didn’t reap any rewards, so Gers fans likely felt that the right decision was made.
In 2019 though, Sadiq joined Serbian side Partizan, and the goals began to flow; 23 in 52 games to be precise, handing him a big move to Almeria last summer.
The Nigerian hasn’t stopped there; he’s hit 17 goals in 32 outings for the Spanish side, and now finds himself wanted in a quite amazing move.

Spanish newspaper AS report that Bayern Munich – yes, Bayern Munich – want to sign Sadiq, but with Almeria unwilling to sell, they would have to pay his €60million (£52million) to sign him.
Rangers fans are probably beside themselves hearing this rumour, wondering just how Sadiq has gone from Ibrox flop to potential Bayern signing.
Maybe Steven Gerrard could have shown more faith in Sadiq at Rangers, but it’s safe to say that nobody saw this kind of thing coming.
