Vurnon Anita could land a stunning move after leaving Leeds United.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Roma are now considering a move for Vurnon Anita as they look at free agent midfielders.

Roma are in the market for a new midfielder, but with a couple of months to go until the January transfer window, they’re looking at free agents.

Everybody was left completely baffled at hearing Roma were considering Jack Rodwell, but the former Blackburn Rovers and Sunderland man isn’t the only one.

Tuttomercatoweb claim that Marcel Buchel is also being looked at after leaving Empoli, as is Vurnon Anita having moved on from Leeds United.

Leeds decided to release Anita on September 2nd, and the Dutchman may now have a chance to earn a deal with the Italian giants in a truly bizarre move.

The 30-year-old was signed by Leeds in 2017 after leaving Newcastle United, but made just 22 appearances for the club before moving on loan to Willem II last season.

The Dutchman hasn’t been able to find a new club in almost two months since leaving Leeds, but his dreams may now come true with a big move to Roma.

Leeds fans will no doubt be completely baffled by these rumours, but with Rodwell being looked at, it seems any free agent midfielder has a shot at a move to the Stadio Olimpico right now.
