Leeds United fans may shudder at the mere mention of the chaotic Massimo Cellino era, and few could blame them really.
The Whites went through a host of managers under Cellino, including short-lived stints for David Hockaday, Darko Milanic and Uwe Rosler, whilst recruitment was rather hit and miss.
One player who divided opinion was goalkeeper Marco Silvestri, who joined Leeds from Chievo in the summer of 2014 and went on to make 98 appearances for the club.
The Italian impressed initially, but ended up falling away under Garry Monk, and was sold to Hellas Verona in the summer of 2017 in order to return to Italy.
Now 29, Silvestri has turned his career around. He has become Verona’s first-choice goalkeeper, and even won his first Italy call-up last month as an international career beckons.
Calciomercato now offer a fascinating update on Silvestri, suggesting that giants Inter Milan now want to sign him, potentially viewing him as the heir to veteran stopper Samir Handanovic.

Inter have strong relations with Verona, and may even send Romanian goalkeeper Ionut Radu in the opposite direction, with Inter very keen to sign Silvestri.
Few could have predicted that when Leeds let him go in 2017, but he deserves huge praise for kicking on and becoming a star in Italy.
