Former Leeds United boss Thomas Christiansen is reportedly on the hunt for a managerial job in England after his spell at Elland Road.
Christiansen is currently out of work after being dismissed by the Whites in February, but the report suggests that he is now ready to have another go at the English game.
Christiansen is probably not viewed in the best light following his spell at Elland Road. Leeds started the season amazingly well under the former Spain international – who left many stunned when he got the job as Garry Monk’s successor – but tailed off dramatically.
The Whites set the pace early on, but were 10th by the time that Christiansen was dismissed in February this year. He had lost five and drew two of his last seven games, conceding four goals against both Millwall and Cardiff City before he was sacked. The 45-year-old’s apparent refusal to deviate from his preferred tactic seemed to prove costly as Leeds began to be worked out.
And given some of the performances that Marcelo Bielsa has overseen during his time in charge, there is little reason to believe that Leeds made the wrong decision calling time on Christiansen’s tenure.
But it appears that he is keen to perhaps prove a point to his former employers by landing another job in England at some stage in the near future.
