Middlesbrough were believed to be interested in signing Everton’s Yannick Bolasie, but they didn’t push for a move.

Bolasie cut short a loan spell at Aston Villa in a bid to break back into Everton’s team, but found his chances of playing at Goodison Park blocked, and Middlesbrough showed an interest.
Tony Pulis and Bolasie had worked together well at Crystal Palace before, with the Boro boss getting the very best out of the wide-man.
And it seems that the 29-year-old would have been open for a reunion with Pulis at the Riverside Stadium.
Although Bolasie was reluctant to play in the Championship, sources close to the player are said to believe he would have joined Boro.

However, Middlesbrough never made him an offer, with Bolasie eventually joining Anderlecht.
Pulis is now said to be frustrated, as Middlesbrough didn’t secure the attacking additions he wanted last month, which has led to concerns that they could be left short for the rest of the campaign.
