Aston Villa and Middlesbrough have been linked with a move for Everton’s Yannick Bolasie.

The Birmingham Mail has reported that Everton winger Yannick Bolasie doesn’t want to join a Championship club, amid speculation of a move to Aston Villa and Middlesbrough.
According to The Daily Star, Aston Villa are interested in a loan deal for the out-of-favour Toffees man who is also interesting Middlesbrough [The Mirror].
But The Birmingham Mail claimed on Monday morning that the 29-year-old – who earns £75,000 per week at Everton [Spotrac] – does not want to drop down into the Championship in a development which rules out a move to Villa or Tony Pulis’s Boro if true.
The report goes on to add that Villans boss Steve Bruce has a ‘genuine’ interest in signing Liverpool’s Sheyi Ojo instead.
The Villans could face competition from Nottingham Forest for the 21-year-old Ojo, according to a report from The Sun on Sunday [19/08/2018, page 60].
Pulis refused to name names but he did reveal to Gazette Live on Saturday that a number of players would like to join Middlesbrough, though one of them is unlikely to be Bolasie in light of this report.
Bruce is said to be keen on bolstering his wide options but time will tell if the veteran manager is successful before their summer transfer window shuts.
