Brighton were linked with a move for the Everton man in August, but his situation has changed since then.
Everton’s Oumar Niasse is among the strikers being considered by Brighton & Hove Albion, the Daily Mail reports.
Niasse was linked with a £10 million move to Brighton earlier this year [Liverpool Echo], however, the deal failed to materialise with Everton unable to strengthen their own forward line.
The Senegal international has since turned his Toffees career around with six goals in only 456 minutes of football, and could again be difficult to prise away from Merseyside as things stand.
New Everton boss Sam Allardyce has already admitted a desire to sign a goalscorer in January, but suggested that Niasse remained a part of his plans.
Celtic’s Moussa Dembele is one name being mentioned in connection with a move to Everton, and according to the Daily Mail the Frenchman is another name on Brighton’s shortlist.
However, losing out to the Toffees for Dembele’s signature could in turn aid their pursuit of Niasse.
The Daily Mail also reports that Malaga and Valencia are ‘continuing to press their claims’ to land Niasse’s Everton rival, Sandro Ramirez.
Should Everton sell Niasse if they sign another striker in January?
