Everton attacker Davy Klaassen is being pursued by the Toffees’ Premier League rivals Huddersfield Town.

Klaassen has endured a miserable year at Goodison Park. BBC Sport reported that the Toffees spent £23.6 million on bringing the playmaker in from the Eredivisie, but he was quickly written off by both Ronald Koeman and Sam Allardyce.
And it appears that Marco Silva does not think too differently to his two predecessors, as Bild reports that Werder Bremen and Everton have agreed a fee that is worth an initial £10.7 million and could rise to around £13.3 million. However, Klaassen is reportedly yet to agree to join the Bundesliga side.
Meanwhile, Bild adds that several Premier League sides want the 25-year-old, including David Wagner’s Huddersfield Town side who are gearing up for their second successive season in the top flight after surprising many by staying up – quite comfortably – last year.

It remains to be seen whether Everton have any interest in selling the former Ajax ace to any of their Premier League competitors. After such a disappointing year at Goodison Park, some fans may suggest that they would not be bothered about Klaassen joining a team in the same division as they would not expect the attacking midfielder to make too much of an impact.
However, Klaassen clearly has a lot of talent, and while it has not worked out at Everton, it would certainly be foolish to write him off proving to be a fantastic signing for his next club, so perhaps steering him towards the move to Germany may make more sense for the Toffees.
