Everton and Manchester City are reportedly interested in signing Jordan Pickford from Sunderland in the summer transfer window.
Everton have made an offer of £10 million for Sunderland goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, according to The Mirror.
However, the Toffees’ bid for the 23-year-old has reportedly been rejected by the Black Cats, who will play in the Championship next season after getting relegated from the Premier League. Sunderland want more than £20m for Pickford, according to The Mirror.
The Daily Star has claimed that Manchester City are willing to meet the goalkeeper’s valuation as set by Sunderland.
Pickford is one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League and has played well for the Black Cats this season.
The English youngster is certainly worth more than £10m, and if Everton are serious about signing him, then they would have to increase their offer.
City are one of the richest clubs in the world, and the Citizens could easily outbid Everton if they are keen on Pickford.
One advantage that the Toffees could have is that manager Ronald Koeman could convince Pickford that he would be first-choice goalkeeper at Goodison Park.
