Report: Everton would have to pay Burnley £3.5m for Sean Dyche

Burnley manager Sean Dyche is reportedly wanted by Everton.

Everton would have to pay Burnley a compensation fee of £3.5 million if they want to appoint Sean Dyche as their new manager, according to The Times.

The Toffees are on the lookout for a new permanent manager following the departure of Ronald Koeman.

David Unsworth is in charge of Everton at the moment, but it remains to be seen if he is given the managerial role at Goodison Park on a permanent contract.

According to The Times, Everton would have to pay Premier League rivals Burnley £3.5m if they want Dyche.

It has been reported that although the Englishman features prominently on their shortlist, the Merseyside outfit have yet to make an approach for the Burnley boss.

“The 46-year-old is on a rolling one-year contract at Turf Moor after signing a new £3 million deal last year, but it contains a release clause that must be met by any club seeking to recruit him during the season,” states the report in The Times.

Dyche is a very good manager, and he has already shown what he is capable of at Burnley.

The Clarets are a stable club who appear to have established themselves in the Premier League, and there is no doubt that in the long run the former Watford boss will be a success at Goodison Park.
