Premier League trio Everton, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Crystal Palace were seemingly scouting the same player during the international break.

Artem Dzyuba of Russia looks on during the UEFA Euro 2020 qualifier between Scotland and Russia at Hampden Park on September 06, 2019 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Everton, Wolves and Crystal Palace scouted striker Artem Dzyuba during Russia’s 2-1 win over Scotland on Thursday, according to a report.

Russian outlet Rianfan has claimed that the English trio of Everton, Wolves and Palace were left pleasantly impressed by the performance of Dzyuba, who scored for his team in a crucial Euro 2020 qualifier.

Dzyuba ended up playing the full game for his country, as the 31-year-old, who has less than a year remaining on his contract, currently plys his trade for Zenit St Petersburg [transfermarkt].

It is said that Zenit’s general director Alexander Medvedev recently stated that they will open negations with Dzyuba as they bid to extend his current deal. They feel an offer for their player may come in during the winter transfer window.

Out of the three clubs seemingly interested – Everton, Wolves and Palace – it is the latter who is perhaps more in need of some attacking force.

Whilst Marco Silva’s side haven’t proven their absolute worth in the attacking third this season, summer signing Moise Kean is yet to settle in and Alexi Iwobi is also yet to really get going.

As for Wolves, they have a strong partnership of Diego Jota and Raul Jimenez up front, with the latter being in stunning form this season as Nuno Espirito Santo’s side aim to juggle Europa League and Premier League football.

Palace, on the other hand, have misfiring strikers Christian Benteke and Conor Wickham on the bench, but on the plus side, Jordan Ayew has scored in back-to-back matches.

But given Palace’s form in the attacking third in recent seasons, their supporters will be well aware that more attacking threat is still needed despite their strong start to the season.
