Everton will reject all offers for Anthony Gordon in the January transfer window, despite his difficult start to life this season, the Liverpool Echo report.
Gordon is regarded as one of Everton’s very best up and coming prospects, but he has struggled to break into Carlo Ancelotti’s side this term.
Even with Richarlison out injured, the likes of Alex Iwobi and Bernard have been favoured to the teenaged prospect.
That has caused some frustration with Everton supporters, who feel that Gordon could add a spark that they have been lacking in recent weeks.
The Echo now claim that clubs both in England and abroad are keen to take Gordon on loan.
However, Everton want to keep the youngster, who Ancelotti described as ‘quality’ (Everton’s official website), around, as they consider him an important part of their first-team squad.
That may just hint that Ancelotti plans to use the prospect in the coming weeks.
With Everton failing to win any of their last three matches, the Italian boss will surely be pondering changes.
And Gordon may well just have a chance of starting in Everton’s next match, which comes against Fulham after the international break.
