Everton are interested in signing Michy Batshuayi from Chelsea the summer transfer window, according to The Express.

Batshuayi is on loan at Crystal Palace at the moment, and Chelsea are reportedly ready to sell the Belgium international striker for £40 million.

Everton are claimed to be willing to pay that transfer fee for the 25-year-old, having been interested in securing the services of the striker in the January transfer window, and so are Borussia Dortmund.

The Express has also reported that Italian clubs Torino and Fiorentina want Batshuayi on loan this summer.

Good signing for Everton?

Batshuayi is a very talented striker, but the Chelsea-owned player has failed to make a huge impact in the Premier League.

The 25-year-old striker has made seven starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League for Palace since his loan move in January, scoring two goals in the process, according to WhoScored.

For Everton to progress, they need a prolific striker who has a decent record in the Premier League or in a major domestic European league.
