French outlet Le 10 Sport claim Everton are paying an initial £12million fee to sign Brighton striker Neal Maupay, with another £4million in add-ons for the Frenchman – as he undergoes a medical with Frank Lampard’s side.
Maupay, 26, has struggled for game time at Brighton so far this season. The Frenchman has only been included in two of Graham Potter’s three matchday squads in the Premier League – remaining an unused substitute.
Reports emerged on Friday that Maupay – a £14million signing for Brighton from Brentford – is having a medical at Everton. It comes after three years with the Seagulls, in which has scored 26 Premier League goals in 102 games.
Now, he is on the verge of joining Everton – despite interest from Nottingham Forest. Le 10 Sport claim Everton will pay an initial fee of £12million for Maupay, with add-ons that will take a deal to £16million. A deal until June 2026.

While it might not be the most-exciting striker signing Everton are making, it is a necessary one. They need a player that can cover the loss of Dom Calvert-Lewin, but perhaps be okay covering the England man when fit.
Maupay has shown that he can score goals in the Premier League. In his three seasons with Brighton, he has 10, eight and then another eight. Not incredible numbers, but it shows he is always ready to take his chance.
He is aggressive, he will put in the work and run the channels. For an Everton side that are fighting to avoid another relegation battle, Maupay is the kind of striker you need. At £16million, it is not an expensive outlay, but needed.
A player that has been branded as “unique” by Brighton boss Potter – and he is certainly that.
