Everton are interested in signing Almeria striker El Bilal Toure as Sean Dyche desperately needs a new forward.

Almeria hitman El Bilal Toure is now wanted by both Everton and Sean Dyche’s former club Burnley this summer.

That is according to the Daily Mail, who claim that Everton are now stepping up their interest in signing Toure.

It’s stated that Toure is valued at around £25million and Everton are now keen to bring the Mali forward to Goodison Park.

Neal Maupay endured a dismal season at Goodison Park and a move to Italy with Salernitana is expected.

That would free up space for Everton to bring in Toure as support for the injury-prone Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Everton went into the final day of the season with Demarai Gray up front; that just can’t happen going into next season.

Dyche did keep Everton up but they must now sign another striker with Toure seemingly a prime target.

Sean Dyche faces battle with Burnley for Everton target El Bilal Toure

Toure was highly-rated at Reims over in France before leaving for Almeria last summer, penning a huge six-year deal with the Spanish side.

The 21-year-old scored six times in 20 La Liga games this season whilst also adding two assists.

Toure is full of potential but that brings risk and Everton fans may be wondering why a six-goal striker is valued at £25million.

Everton aren’t alone in chasing Toure though and there is real Premier League interest.

The Daily Mail reported earlier in May that both Wolverhampton Wanderers and Sean Dyche’s former club Burnley want Toure whilst highlighting that he has been likened to Didier Drogba.

Burley have just won promotion to the Premier League and may see Toure as a man who keep them in the top flight.

Dyche must now beat his former club if he wants to sign Toure, with Everton’s recruitment push potentially starting early.
