According to a report, Everton might bid for the Sheffield United starlet.
Everton are considering a move for Sheffield United starlet David Brooks, according to a report in The Telegraph.
The Toffees have been linked to a number of different kinds of players in recent weeks, ranging from proven Premier League stars, to established figures from other European leagues, and unproven young talent.
On Monday, it was reported by Sky Sports that Everton were close to signing QPR midfielder Josh Bowler, having previously had two separate bids turned down.
And it would appear as if another teenage talent is on Ronald Koeman’s radar as The Telegraph report that the Dutchman is weighing up a bid for 19-year-old lad.
The Blades were all set to let Brooks join Chesterfield on loan but Everton’s arrival into the mix has prompted the Championship side to wait and see how things play out amid interest from a much bigger club, the report goes on to claim.
Koeman has already signed Jordan Pickford and Davy Klaassen for a combined £54 million this summer and although a move for Brooks is unlikely to break the bank, it would represent another good step in the right direction for the Merseysiders.
Brooks, who scored in the final of the Toulon Tournament for champions England this month, was named as Player of the Tournament in that competition but he has not yet made his league debut for Sheffield United.
