Everton are believed to be looking to sign a new attacking midfielder this summer.

According to a report in the Daily Mirror, Everton will attempt to sign West Ham United creator Manuel Lanzini in the summer.

Everton have made signing a new number 10 one of their top priorities over the coming weeks.

And Lanzini is believed to be on the Toffees’ radar, even though the Argentine would be expensive.

West Ham do not want to lose Lanzini this season, as the diminutive play maker has been one of their most dangerous attacking weapons.

West Ham have reportedly stuck a £30 million valuation on Lanzini in an attempt to scare off reported interest (Mirror).

However, Everton are still keen to do a deal, with Ronald Koeman believed to have a mass of funds to spend this summer.

Everton could be looking for a replacement for Ross Barkley this summer, with the attacking midfielder’s contract situation plunging his future in to doubt.

And there is a feeling around Goodison Park that Lanzini could be the ideal man to step into the void left by the England international, if he does move on.
