Everton want to make a significant profit on Bernard, if they are to let him leave this month, the Telegraph report.

Everton snapped up Bernard on a free transfer back in 2018, and he has since impressed in flashes at Goodison Park.

Unfortunately for the Brazilian he has been unable to force his way into the Toffees’ line-up this campaign, with Carlo Ancelotti favouring other options.

But that has not stopped Everton from asking for a significant fee for him.

The latest update suggests Everton want £9 million for the 28-year-old, who was described as a ‘special talent’ by Ancelotti (Liverpool Echo), with United Arab Emirates side Al Nasr the most interested team.

If Everton do offload Bernard then they will have far more freedom to make their own signings this month.

The playmaker is on a large contract at Goodison Park, and by clearing his wages Everton would have the ability to make additions, as they look to build on their impressive first half to the season.
