Everton are determined to strengthen the spine of their team for the campaign ahead.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, Everton are still looking to sign another goalkeeper, a centre-back and a central midfielder this summer.
Ronald Koeman has been frustrated in the transfer market so far, with Everton barely completing any business.
The Toffees have a sizeable amount of funds to spend, but they are yet to invest much into their squad.
Everton have signed Maarten Stekelenburg from Fulham, however they have not managed to get any further transfers over the line.

Everton are currently working on a deal to sign Marko Arnautovic from Stoke City, and it is believed that they are closing in on the Austrian.
Koeman does not intend to finish by adding Arnautovic, though, as he wants to strengthen the spine of his squad.

The Dutch boss feels that the addition of a goalkeeper, central defender and a powerful midfielder will be key for the upcoming campaign.
Everton’s season gets underway next month with a match against Tottenham Hotspur at Goodison Park.
