Everton and West Bromwich Albion have been linked with the Premier League striker in recent days.

Udinese are, according to The Daily Mail’s Transfer Zone (entry posted 09:07 on August 30), speaking to Watford striker and Everton target Stefano Okaka.

The Watford Observer reported on Tuesday that Everton were lining up a surprise move for the 28-year-old striker, who scored four Premier League goals in 10 starts last season.

The Toffees still have not found an out-and-out replacement for Romelu Lukaku after failing to recruit the likes of Olivier Giroud this summer.

But The Daily Mail report that Ronald Koeman only wants Okaka on loan, though the Dutch manager will have to act fast as the story goes on to state that Italian side Udinese are in talks with the Italy international, who has four caps.

Meanwhile, Koeman could face competition from West Bromwich Albion after the Birmingham Mail also reported that the Baggies were interested in the marksman, who joined the Hornets last summer.

West Brom, who have signed Jay Rodriguez this summer, could do with another forward option after netting three goals in as many games so far. It isn’t terrible, but it’s not outstanding either and an additional bit of firepower could make all the difference for Tony Pulis’s side.
