Italian website CMW claim Everton are keen on luring Simone Inzaghi to Goodison Park this summer as a replacement for Sean Dyche if the Toffees decide not to keep the Englishman at the helm – with Inzaghi’s future at Inter in doubt.

Inzaghi, 46, is under pressure at Inter despite guiding his side to second in the Serie A table this season. It comes after taking his side to within an inch of the Serie A title last term, only for rivals Milan to pip the Nerrazzuri to the title.

This season, Napoli are running away with it. Inzaghi joined Inter after five years at Lazio in which he won 134 of his 251 games in charge. At Inter, he has 57 wins in 88 games – an impressive rate of 65%. Inzaghi could go this summer.

Dyche watched on as his Everton side secured a crucial win over Brentford and as things stand, the Toffees are in a solid place to avoid the drop. Whether Everton keep him beyond the summer remains to be seen. You would expect so.

Even if Everton went down, Dyche might be the best man to remain in charge given he has promotion from the second tier on his CV. But, CMW report that Everton and Spanish outfit Sevilla could look at Inzaghi if he does leave Inter.

Inzaghi’s future is in more doubt given that Antonio Conte is expected to leave Tottenham. There are numerous reports claiming Conte could return to the club he left before joining Spurs. The Times say Inter have been in talks with Conte.

So, if Conte is available, Inter are likely to want to bring back the manager that won Serie A at Inter in 2020-21. Inzaghi leaves and that could see Everton bring the Italian to Merseyside. But, Dyche looks set to remains, as things stand.
