Everton are reportedly keen on Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

According to the Daily Mail, Everton want to take Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek on loan during the January transfer window.
Loftus-Cheek, 22, spent last season on loan at Crystal Palace, and his impressive form saw him break into the England squad in time for the World Cup in Russia.
The youngster impressed from midfield with his driving runs, and many expected that the arrival of an attack-minded coach at Chelsea in Maurizio Sarri would see him finally thrive with the Blues.
However, Loftus-Cheek has barely featured under Sarri, playing just 33 Premier League minutes, and he is even behind Ross Barkley in the pecking order for club and country.
It’s now key that Loftus-Cheek moves on in January, either on loan or permanently, and the Daily Mail report that Crystal Palace are keen to re-sign him on loan, but face competition from Everton.
A player to break forward from midfield would be a fine addition for Everton, with Idrissa Gueye more focused on the defensive side of the game and Tom Davies operating as something of a terrier.

However, Premier League clubs can’t take more than two players on loan, and no more than one from the same club, which would present a major problem in any move for Loftus-Cheek.
Kurt Zouma is already on loan from Chelsea, with midfielder Andre Gomes on loan from Barcelona, meaning that if Everton really want Loftus-Cheek, the key lies with Zouma.
Everton would either have to pursue a permanent move for Loftus-Cheek, or attempt to turn Zouma’s loan into a permanent deal and then try to take Loftus-Cheek on loan, with Everton needing to find a workaround if they are really adamant about signing the England talent.
