Everton are reportedly in the running to sign the 18-year-old.

The Mirror have reported (cited by The Express) that Everton have joined the race for Juventus midfielder Grigoris Kastanos.

The Express reported this week that the 18-year-old is a target of Manchester United, with Jose Mourinho already sending scouts to watch him.

But according to The Mirror, via The Express, Everton boss Ronald Koeman is also keen on signing the Cypriot, who joined the Italian giants in 2014.

Italian outlet Tuttosport claimed that Kastanos was bought for around £51,000 (€60k) but Juve are trying to tie him down to a new deal which would include a £17 million buyout clause.

If true, the Bianconeri obviously recognise his potential but Everton and United are both attractive destinations for any footballer; perhaps the Red Devils more so, but the Toffees have been in fine form under Koeman so far.

The Merseyside outfit sit third in the Premier League after winning 10 points from a possible 12 thus far. The only game which they failed to win was the 1-1 draw at home to Tottenham on the opening day of the 2016-17 season.
