Everton are reportedly interested in signing Sheffield Wednesday striker George Hirst.
According to the Liverpool Echo, Everton want four new signings for their Under-23 side – and Sheffield Wednesday striker George Hirst has emerged as their top target.
The Toffees raided Sheffield United for young striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin on deadline day back in August, and he’s been featuring for Everton’s Under-23 side for much of the season so far.

Everton seemingly aren’t finished there though, and whilst fans are focusing on first-team targets like Morgan Schneiderlin and Ishak Belfodil, the Toffees are also keen to add more young players.
The Liverpool Echo report that Everton now want to sign four new players for their Under-23 side, and the prime target right now is Sheffield Wednesday striker George Hirst.

Hirst, 17, is the son of former Wednesday striker David Hirst, and has come up through the ranks at Hillsborough, making his first-team debut against Cambridge United in the EFL Cup back in August.
The 6ft 3in centre forward has hit six goals in 12 games for England at youth level, and his potential appears to have caught the eye of Everton.
Hirst’s first professional deal sees him tied to Wednesday until the summer of 2018, meaning Everton will have to pay up to land the teenager attacker.
Everton will not only hope to land Hirst this month, but also three other players for David Unsworth’s Under-23 side, with the Toffees clearly keeping one eye on the future as well as the present.
