Everton boss Marco Silva is still looking to improve his side’s defence for the upcoming campaign.

According to a report in the Daily Mirror, Everton are interested in signing Kurt Zouma.
Everton have failed to get a deal over the line for Yerry Mina, and with Marco Silva still searching for defensive additions, Zouma is now on his wishlist.
The Toffees are said to be growing in confidence that they will be able to get a transfer for the centre-back done.
Zouma seemingly has little chance of breaking into Chelsea’s team under new boss Maurizio Sarri.
And Everton are keen to take the powerhouse defender on loan for the season.

Silva is short of centre-backs, with the position proving problematic for the Toffees last term.
Zouma was once considered one of the best prospects at Chelsea, but injury has rather curtailed his progress, and a loan spell at Stoke City last term was not entirely successful.
Although Zouma played regularly, Stoke were relegated, and Everton would be expecting better from the Frenchman if he does sign for this campaign.
