According to The Telegraph, Everton are interested in landing Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori on loan this summer.
It’s claimed that Rennes want to sign Tomori too, and Chelsea may be willing to let him leave on loan for the season.
Everton are now joining the race, with Carlo Ancelotti now looking for other centre back options with Gabriel Magalhaes set for Arsenal instead.
Everton may have something of an upper hand given that they took Kurt Zouma on loan two years ago, and helped develop his game.
Zouma now finds himself as a first-team regular under Frank Lampard, and Chelsea hope Tomori can do the same in the future.
The 22-year-old has previously had loan spells at Brighton and Hove Albion, Hull City and Derby County, particularly impressing under Lampard at the latter.

Tomori became a Chelsea first-team player under Lampard last season, and his impressive early season form saw him earn an England cap in November 2019.
Tomori found first-team football a little harder to come by in the second half of the season, though injuries played a part in that.
With Chelsea expecting to sign at least one more centre back, getting Tomori out on loan makes perfect sense – and Everton could be an ideal home for him given their need for a new centre back.
